What Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) means to me.

To explain what RPM means you must first understand that I only make requests with my mouth intentionally when asking for food or drink, everything else is Rocky talking.

My voice was trapped behind my mouth inside.  You really need to know how much I wanted to talk all my life.  Not only was my mouth impulsive, but my typing and printing too.

So when I met Soma my world opened up and I could see communication was possible.

Now a great life and mission plot my course, not fate of having no voice.

Soma created a method that allows my voice to make a difference in the World.

Elizabeth Vosseller noticed my brilliance and gave mommy confidence to work with me so we could talk to anyone.

What is important to know is without them my voice would still be trapped.  You need to trust your kids ability to communicate.

Trust and love,

Jordyn

    1. Only you would word your comment from Elliot’s mom Laura. You are awesome. I guess a boy like Elliot deserves a mom who calls herself Elliot’s mom. I love you Laura that’s why I feel safe teasing you.

Jordyn, I hope you know too, how we’ve waited to hear you.
I’ve loved how physically communicative you’ve become recently… can’t wait for amazing talks in the future ♡♡♡

  2. Jordyn, thank you so much for sharing your experience with learning how to speak with RPM. It is so wonderful to hear your voice and know what you are thinking and feeling. I am so happy for you and your new ability to communicate!
My son has Aspergers and although he speaks, when he was younger it was very difficult to know how to communicate with him…he didn’t have the words to express what he was feeling and experiencing. Your sharing is such so wonderful for many parents and other children who have similar experiences to you. I really enjoy reading your posts. 🙂
